Tips for Writing a Good and Professional Resume / CV

A Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV) is the first impression you give to a company when applying for a job. A good CV does not mean it is long and full of unnecessary details. In fact, the best and most effective CVs are short, clear, and easy to read, usually only 1 or 2 pages long. Start your CV with your personal information: full name, phone number, email address, and a link to your professional profile. Do not include details like your age, religion, or a photo unless the company specifically asks for it.

Next, write a short Professional Summary. In 2 or 3 sentences, explain who you are, what you can do, and what value you can bring to the company. After that, list your Work Experience in order from the newest job to the oldest one. Write clearly what your job title was, where you worked, and what your main achievements were. Use strong action words like "managed", "created", "improved", or "organized". Finally, list your education and relevant skills. Make sure there are absolutely no spelling or grammar mistakes. A clean, neat, and honest CV will greatly increase your chance of getting an interview.
